Patrick Akrivos is an Austrian-Greek Psychologist-Psychotherapist, licensed both in Greece and Austria.
Zu seinen fachlichen Qualifikationen zählen ein postgraduate degree von der University of Middlesex, ein postgraduate Diploma im Personzentrierten Ansatz der University of Strathclyde sowie die Ausbildung in Personzentrierter Psychotherapie am FORUM Personzentrierte Psychotherapie in Wien. Darüber hinaus ist er zertifizierter Gordon Trainer, S.A.F.E.-Trainer (Secure Attachment Training) sowie Positive Discipline Instructor. Zusätzlich absolvierte er Weiterbildungen in Emotionsfokussierter Paartherapie, Suchtarbeit, Traumatherapie und in weiteren Bereichen.

Ausbildung & Berufliche Erfahrung
Die akademische und berufliche Ausbildung von Patrick Akrivos spiegelt ein kontinuierliches und sich vertiefendes Engagement für Psychotherapie, Beziehungs- und dialogische Tiefe und interkulturelles Verständnis wider. Seine grundlegenden Studien begann er mit einem B.Sc. in Psychologie an der University of La Verne (Athen Campus) im Jahr 2001. In dieser frühen Phase absolvierte er zudem spezialisierte Weiterbildungen in systemischen und erlebnisorientierten Ansätzen und erwarb ein Zertifikat in Familiensystemen am Therapeutic Institute for Family Relations sowie ein Zertifikat in Gestalttherapie am Institute of Gestalt Therapy in Athen (2001–2002).
Seine klinische Ausrichtung vertiefte sich durch ein Diplom in Suchtberatung von Clouds House in England (2004), akkreditiert durch CPCAB, gefolgt von weiterer erfahrungsorientierter Arbeit mit einem Zertifikat in Focusing am Hellenic Centre for Focusing (2007). Im Jahr 2008 schloss er sein M.A.-Studium in Counseling Psychology an der Middlesex University in England ab und festigte damit seine akademische und klinische Grundlage.
Parallel zu seiner psychotherapeutischen Ausbildung engagierte er sich intensiv im Gordon-Modell und erlangte Zertifizierungen als Parent Effectiveness Trainer (2009), Teacher Effectiveness Trainer (2011), Youth Effectiveness Trainer (2013) sowie später als Leader Effectiveness Trainer (2014). Diese Qualifikationen spiegeln sein ausgeprägtes Interesse wider, den Personzentrierten Ansatz in unterschiedlichen Lebensbereichen anzuwenden.
Im Jahr 2013 absolvierte er ein Diplom in Personzentrierter Beratung am Institute of Counseling and Psychotherapy Studies in Zusammenarbeit mit der University of Strathclyde, was einen wesentlichen Schritt hin zu seiner zentralen therapeutischen Ausrichtung darstellte. Es folgten weitere Spezialisierungen, darunter eine Zertifizierung als ISTAME Anti-Bullying Instructor (2015) sowie eine vertiefte Ausbildung in Emotionsfokussierter Paartherapie.
Sein Interesse an bindungsorientierter Arbeit zeigt sich in seiner Zertifizierung als SAFE Mentor (Attachment Parenting) an der Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich im Jahr 2017.
Zuletzt schloss er ein Diplom in Personzentrierter Psychotherapie in Wien (2022) sowie ein weiterführendes Diplom in Personzentrierter Kinder- und Jugendlichenpsychotherapie (2024) ab. Insgesamt zeichnen diese Qualifikationen einen kohärenten beruflichen Weg nach, der in einer humanistischen, relationalen und entwicklungsorientierten Psychotherapie verankert ist.
